SplitMate(“we”, “us”) helps groups split shared expenses. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights over it.
Data we collect
- Account: email address and a securely hashed password.
- Profile: display name and, optionally, a MobilePay phone number and Revolut tag used to generate payment links.
- Usage: the trips, receipts, items, and settlements you create.
How we use it
To operate the service: authenticate you, store your trips and balances, and produce payment links between members. We do not sell your data.
Third parties
- Hosting & database providers that store this data on our behalf.
- An OCR provider that processes receipt photos you choose to scan.
- A currency-rate provider used to convert foreign-currency receipts.
Retention & your rights
We keep your data while your account is active. You may request access to, export of, or deletion of your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
